Route posting 2010 Print
Saturday, 24 July 2010 08:03

Mobile ops, its time to dig out the maps and plan a route for TQP 2010! As always, we hope to have all 254 Texas counties represented.

Last year, Chuck, NO5W, plotted the routes using route planning tools and Google maps. This proved very successful, so that's the plan again this year. To avoid delays in getting your route posted, please follow these recommendations when submitting your routes:

  • Separate the list by day. If you intend operating only on Saturday or only on Sunday, please indicate this on the list.

  • Send the list of counties, in the order you plan to travel through them.

  • Send text-based lists. Detailed spreadsheets only slow the data entry process.
Hint: the route planning tools in the Resources section are to help you plan the route and have printed hardcopy with you on the road.

  • Send all lists to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .

  • Routes must be received by September 18th to be posted. Route plans received after the 18th will be posted on a time-available basis, but posting is not guaranteed.

  • Your route does NOT have to be posted to participate. If you decide to go mobile after the posting date or just don't get around to sending us your plans, get on the road communicate! If you holler, somebody will answer!

  • Check back in a few days to see your route on the map.

To see how all this works, click on the Routes link on the menu on the left. Select current year or prior year route maps.
