Operating times are from 1400Z on SATURDAY to 0200Z on SUNDAY and from 1400Z to 2000Z on SUNDAY. Stations may work the entire contest period.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All logs must be submitted no later than two weeks immediately following the QSO party.<br>Texas mobiles must submit a single log of all contacts. <strong>NEW FOR 2026:<\/strong>\u00a0E-mail and paper log submissions will no longer be accepted. Logs must be submmitted online at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/txqp.contesting.com\/\">https:\/\/txqp.contesting.com\/<\/a>\u00a0(site coming soon).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-text-subtitle is-style-text-subtitle--2 wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Exchange<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Stations outside Texas use RS\/T and State, Country, Canadian Province, or maritime region. DX stations should send the primary prefix assigned to their country.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Texas stations use RS\/T and Texas County using the TQP standard abbreviations available on the TQP web site Resource&#8217;s link.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-text-subtitle is-style-text-subtitle--3 wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Operating<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All operation must follow current FCC rules or your country\u2019s rules.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The use of spotting nets on repeaters, packet nodes, simplex operation, telephone or by any other means is permissible.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Operation on all Amateur bands is permitted, except on 60 meters, 30 meters, 17 meters and 12 meters.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Operation in all modes (Phone, CW, Digital) is permitted in all contest categories except for the CW Only, Phone Only, and Digital Only categories. For duping purposes, all digital sub modes are considered to be the same mode (Digital). So, working a fixed given station on RTTY and again on JT65 or FT8 on the same band will result in credit for one QSO. <strong>***Digital modes must be capable of sending and receiving the full contest exchange. ***<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contacts made through repeaters, digipeaters, internet, or gateways are not permitted.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If a Texas mobile and\/or a portable station is on a county line or junction between 2 or more Texas counties, a separate QSO and exchange must be logged for each county worked (e.g. SSB: NM5G 59 HARR, 59 MGMY). Note that the actual exchange may be grouped or done with separate transmissions at the discretion of the operator. The station located at the county line does not need to be on the line but must have visual contact with a county line marker.\u00a0 This provides operation from a safe location in case the county line is on a bridge or other hazardous location.<br><em><strong>IMPORTANT<\/strong>: Mobile operators considering county line operations should keep safety in mind. Operators must obtain permission to enter private property when such entrance is required to reach a county line(s).<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contacts made with captive stations do not support the stated purpose of the QSO party and will not be counted. The club name and call sign must be identified in the header section of each stations Cabrillo log to be included in the count.\u00a0 All participating stations must be in Texas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-text-subtitle is-style-text-subtitle--6 wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Scoring<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Stations may be worked only once per band per mode for QSO count.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Texas mobiles may be worked only once per band per mode from each county for QSO count.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Texas mobiles may work other stations only once per band per mode from each county covered for QSO count.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Non &#8211; Texas Stations\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Count two (2) points per phone QSO with any Texas station<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Count three (3) points per CW and other digital mode QSOs with any Texas Station.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your multiplier is the number of Texas counties worked. The maximum possible multiplier is 254.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Texas Stations\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Count two (2) points per phone QSO with any station.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Count three (3) points per CW and other digital mode QSOs with any station.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your multipliers are the number of states worked (not including Texas) plus the number of Texas counties worked plus each Canadian province worked (13 total) plus each DXCC country worked excluding USA, Canada, Alaska and Hawaii. \n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All additional DXCC contacts worked count for points.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Washington DC QSOs count as Maryland contacts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Multipliers are counted once for the QSO Party. For example, if you work NC on SSB and on CW that counts as one multiplier.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Multiply the total QSO points times your multiplier, then add applicable bonus points to arrive at your final score<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bonus Points\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Non &#8211; Texas Stations\u2014Add five hundred (500) bonus points to your FINAL SCORE for each Texas mobile worked in five (5) different counties regardless of band or mode. If you work the same Texas mobile in five (5) additional counties, you add an additional five hundred (500) bonus points to your FINAL SCORE, etc. However, for bonus points you can only count one (1) contact per county per mobile.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Texas Stations\u2014Add five hundred (500) bonus points to your FINAL SCORE for each Texas mobile worked in five (5) different counties regardless of band or mode.
